Ms Desmond's room will head off on their school tour this Friday May 19 to Supernova activity centre in Cork - Remember to wear school tracksuit, comfortable shoes, supply a packed lunch, and plenty of drinks - We hope they enjoy their day out!
2nd to 6th class will head off on their school tour next Friday May 26th to UCC Mardyke adventure centre, where they will take part in a range of activities. The Ahiohill N.S. P.E. tracksuit is to be wore on the day. Make sure to pack plenty of food and drinks for the day - bus will leave school at 9 a.m. and return for approx 3.30 p.m.
Ahiohill N.S. will host a mental health awareness day on Wed. March 1st. This is an initiative to work towards receiving the 'Amber flag' for mental health. The day includes pilates for the children, relaxation art and songs, and guest speakers from a local health food shop, and a H.S.E psychologist. Healthy treats from Scally's Super Value will be sampled on the day also.

Ahiohill N.S. enrolment for any new Junior Infant entrants in September 2017 will take place on Thursday, February 16th from 12 noon – 1.00pm and from 2.00pm – 3.30pm. Please contact the school if these times do not suit. 023 8839477.
Ahiohill N.S. Parent-Teacher meetings will take place on Wednesday Jan. 25th and Thursday Jan. 26th. Please let us know if these days do not suit and we will try rearrange a more convenient one.
Our school has decided to work towards receiving the Amber Flag. This is a positive mental health promoting flag. Our committee has been formed. We ran a competition throughout the school to create our motto for this initiative. Here is the winning entry - We are extremely proud of our display. We will keep you posted on events we will be running in the school for this campaign.
Staff of Ahiohill N.S. must attend a full days training on the new Primary Language Curriculum on Fri. Dec. 2nd . Therefore the school will be closed. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Reminder school is also closed on Thurs. Dec. 8th of the following week for a Church holiday.
All the children of Ahiohill N.S. will take part in a full dress rehearsal for the upcoming Christmas concert this Wednesday Nov. 23rd.
The children can come to school in their uniform but can bring their full costume with them on the day. Children playing musical instruments will also need to bring them on the day.

Senior room will visit Ballinacarriga NS to attend a hands-on maths presentation from the lifetime lab.
5th and 6th will visit ballinascarthy hall to view the local historic film about Henry Ford on Wed 19th Oct.

Graduation for 6th class students will take place on Thursday, June 23rd again more details will follow.
Sports Day for school will take place on Thursday, June 16th. More details will follow.
Ms. Holland’s room will go on their tour to “Cuskinny Adventure Centre” in Cobh on Friday, June 10th. All children must bring a packed lunch, plenty to drink, sunscreen/rain jacket depending on Irish weather! Bus will leave at 9.00am and will return at 3.45pm. Cost €25.
Reminder: No school on Friday, June 3rd or Monday June 6th for Bank Holiday.
Tomorrow (Wednesday, June 1st) anyone going to City Sports must be in school for 9.00am, wearing school sports uniform, jerseys will be provided for running. Bring plenty of food/drinks. No money is required. Make sure children have sunscreen if weather continues. Bus should be back in school by 3.05pm.
