It's about more than just a great education

a few flavours of what Ahiohill National School is all about:

Celebrating Children's ideas

Everyone at Ahiohill N.S. is working towards the one shared goal - to be the best version of oneself. With it's positive and supportive learning environment, each child gets to take control of their own learning, knowing that their ideas are accepted, appreciated and celebrated.

Embracing individual needs

At Ahiohill N.S. it is so much more than just providing a great education for the children. Our team have a genuine interest in all the needs of each individual child.

Kindness & Respect

Kindness and respect - the staff of Ahiohill N.S. promote kindess and respect amongst the children by demonstrating these quality in the way we act towards each other and towards the children, by taking part in initaitves such as 'Friendship Week' and Monthly Mantras at assembly, and through our teaching of the Religion and S.P.H.E. programmes.

Rewarding Activities

In 2016, our 6th class pupils have won second prize in the Discover Cork Schools Heritage Project for their entry "1916 Around West Cork".  Our latest film "1916 Rising" qualified for the final of the Fresh Film Festival held in the Odeon Cinema in Limerick and at Cork City Sports we brought home a 3rd place medal for the U.9 girls.
